Thursday Night is Music Night

Thursday Night is Music Night Concerts began in 2001 as a fundraising effort to help pay off the large debt after a huge church refurbishment. Their success was such that, long after the debt repayment was completed, the Concerts continued.

The retiring collections now go to charity or to support the group performing, this especially in the case of any visitors from the UK or further afield. The collections are often shared with the church for the on-going refurbishment of an old building. The Concerts are seen as a regular Church community activity.  Open to all at little cost, providing free entry but with a retiring collection, before light refreshments are served ~ an opportunity to meet the performers in person! There are several concerts throughout the year, mostly during the summer, with mainly local performers and our philosophy to provide a platform for our Island young performers has been maintained.

2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the concert series so we have a particularly special programme this year
