Audrey Tupper, church administrator will be out of the island from Thursday 18 to Tuesday 23 April inclusive.

Christians Against Poverty in Jersey (CAP) are running their next CAP Money course on at St Clement's Parish Church on Wednesday 24 April, 7.30pm.  If you know of anyone who might benefit from learning how to budget and manage their money contact Katie: info@capjersey.org.je or 525575).

Safeguarding Training within the Circuit has recently been reviewed and rewritten and is now available to be used.  It is vital we are up to date with this and Rev Danny Wheadon is co-ordinating this effort.  He will be running two evening courses at Georgetown Church starting at 7.00pm prompt with Maureen Hudd so please let Audrey know this coming week to book your place:

  • Thursday 25 April, Foundation Training (the first stage)
  • Friday 26 April, Refresher Course (if you did the Foundation Training more than 4 years ago).  If you do not have a certificate please find out the date you did the training.  The Advanced Course will then be held in the Autumn

There will be an Evening of Harmony at Ebenezer on Friday 26 April, 8.00pm featuring the Harmony Men and special guests Harmonious Friends, an acapella quartet of friends Richard Joynt, Nicola Austin, William Millow and Annette Blanchet.  It is in aid of Variety, with tickets £5 on the door and refreshments served afterwards.  

On Saturday 27 April, from 2.30pm the Holmchase Singers are holding a Cake and concert at Georgetown.  Everyone is welcome – cakes, teas, raffle and entertainment.   The choir are fundraising for travel to Helsingborg International Choral Festival, Sweden in May 2020.

You are invited to celebrate our Liberation of the Island with an illustrated talk at St Martin's Methodist Church on Friday, 3 May, 7.30 pm, when Trevor Green will share his reflections of the Island's Occupation by the Germans and eventual Liberation, seen through the eyes of "An Occupation Boy".  The talk will be followed by light refreshments.  Entry free, with a retiring collection for the organ fund.
