Contrary to last week’s notices, please note our Thursday coffee morning is ON this week as usual 10.00am -12.00pm.  We look forward to seeing you and your friends enjoying home baking and fellowship together.

Our Friendship Group will be meeting in the church foyer on Monday 18 February, 2.00pm.  Any contributions to the bring and buy stall will be very welcome.

This week’s Wednesday Group on 20 February, 7.30pm will take the form of a quiz.

Fairtrade Fortnight kicks off on Monday 25 February.  One highlight will be the Fairtrade evening at Coopers Castle Quay on Thursday 28 February.  Hilary Jeune (previously Senior Policy Adviser for Fairtrade in Brussels) will speak on the new International Fair Trade Charter with particular reference to the plight of cocoa farmers in West Africa.   To book your place, tell Audrey.  The menu is on the table at the back of the church.  Pay at the door and, if would like wine, take along your own bottle and glasses. 

World Day of Prayer, Friday 1 March, 1.00pm at Ebenezer.  This annual ecumenical service has been renamed, dropping ‘Women’s’ from the title.  Although it is women led, it is open to all. This year the focus of prayer will be for Slovenia and the service has been prepared by Christian women from that country.  Refreshments afterwards and plenty of parking. 

Advance notice of the Circuit’s Easter Offering at the Biarritz Hotel on Wednesday 22 May.  After the 12.00pm service and 1.00pm carvery lunch, Rev Tony Morling will give a talk about his forthcoming Christian Aid trip to the Philippines.  Please speak to Audrey about booking your place.
