To join the Friendship Group Tennerfest lunch on Monday 21 October at the Dolphin, Gorey (12.30pm), please speak to Barbara before 1.00pm, today (Sunday 20 October).

The Bible Society are holding a coffee morning on Tuesday 22 October, 10.30am-12.00pm at St Matthew’s Church Hall.  Tea, coffee and cake served all morning with a short presentation at 11.00am.  All donations for the work of the Bible Society.

  • Thursday 31 October 10.00am Forest School – Pumpkins in the Woods.  A range of activities, suitable for all but particularly pre-schoolers.   It includes a lights trail through the woods, light find and seek, den making etc.  Meet by St Saviour’s Church in the woodland area, parking in the lane by the church.  Bring a packed lunch, waterproofs and wellies (mostly outside).  £2 donation. 
  • 1 November, arrive 6.00-6.20pm, pick up 8.00pm Walk in the Light party St Andrew’s Church Hall.  Games zones including consoles and crafts with a Light message.  £2.50 donation.   

There will be An Evening of Remembrance in Poetry, Prose and Music devised and hosted by Tim Pollard', at St Martin's Methodist Church, Thursday 7 November, 8.00 pm.  It will feature Alan Mollet at the Organ, with guests including Cathy Sara, Ian Ronayne and the Concordia Choir, conductor, Hugh Lince.  There will be a retiring collection for the Earl Haigh Poppy Fund and light refreshments will be served in the Hall following the Concert.  Everyone most welcome.

The Jersey Women’s Refuge wishes to pass on their thanks to the members of Georgetown Church for their generous donations of food from the Harvest Thanksgiving. 

The Salvation Army is looking for an Administrator (20 hours/week, £11.05/hour), permanent post for their centre in Minden Street, St Helier, directly supporting the church and community work of The Salvation Army in Jersey.  They are looking for someone with a genuine passion for supporting and caring for the marginalised and vulnerable in our community.
